Bat out of Heck

Bat of out Heck is a 64x64 pixel game created for the 2022 LOWREZJAM.

The game is a bullet hell 2D shooter with simple controls inspired by the game jam's optional theme Kill it with fire! Are you a demonic menace to society, or just a misunderstood little bat? The military shoots first and asks questions later!

Controls:

• [WASD]  -  Move
• [Space]  -  Attack / confirm
• [Esc]  -  Quit

Armoured vehicles are immune to your attacks, fly into them to pluck them up and drop them from the sky!

Collect power-ups to help you survive for longer:

    HEALTH: Regain 1 heart
    LIFESTEAL: Regain hearts for destroying multiple enemy missiles with a single attack
    REPEAT FIRE: Hold attack button to attack continuously
    SPEED: +30% Speed boost
    RAPID FIRE: No cooldown between attacks
    GHOST FORM: Immunity to enemy missiles
    SLOWDOWN: Enemy missiles move 50% slower
